Montego Bay Jamaica is blessed with warm waters, great hotels, friendly people and a great location between the mountains and the coast. The area is also gifted with some great golf.
On the east side of Montego Bay is the area known as Rose Hall. Several 5 star resorts call this are home as do many great houses 10,000 sq ft plus. Among these homes you can find one that still belongs to the Cash family and was originally built by music icon Johnny Cash.
While not really visible any more due to the growth of the trees and jungle like vegetation of Jamaica, as you walk the back nine of Cinnamon Hill Golf Course your caddie may pull a couple leaves from a tree to show you why the course gets its name. And then turn and point off to the left to where Johnny and June built their retirement home here in Jamaica.
I don’t know if either Johnny or June golfed but if they did it would certainly explain why they chose this location. Cinnamon Hill is an overwhelming course for the visual senses! Combining seaside holes on the front nine with mountainous whole on the back nine. this course has something for every golfer.
Knowledgeable caddies, helpful clubhouse attendants and friendly grill staff all add to the experience. When you are in Jamaica take the time to enjoy this gem, it will reward you well.
